"My position on burnout is quite different than many. To the point that I feel as though my personal experience doesn't deserve to be featured in the magazine article. I have never truly experienced the brunt of burnout. I have many close friends, clients, and my business partner who have seriously dealt with it. I've witnessed them experiencing it. That feeling when you're in the thick of it where you can't even recognize the signs and symptoms or get out of your own way. Thankfully I have never been in it that deep. Yes, I've experienced the feelings for moments or a couple of days. I don't know the exact reason why however, I can tell you I have always been one that has sought growth and looked for opportunities that present themselves. I have found it helpful to be mindful in the fact that when I am starting to feel down, frustrated or just plain old blah, I take action. I take action by moving my body, learning something new, and challenging myself in a new way that I haven't before. This has helped me in those hard moments of doubt, and dread. I confide in people I trust and talk out my thoughts and feelings. I truly believe that we are all a work in progress and we have the right to choose how we want to live our lives. Life is not easy and there are many obstacles along the journey. It's in those hard moments of failure, uncertainty, and struggle when we grow the most and write our own unique story. I believe that is all too often what we forget about the most, what truly matters? Our journey and the ups and downs in life that make our life beautifully our own."
